Growums teaches children how to grow vegetables and herbs from seeds to harvest. And one follower will get to pick a kit of their choice and win it.
The kids were thrilled to each get a kit to try. The directions are very easy to follow. And it was fun for all of my kids from 14 to 1. There are some that are very small seeds so younger kids will need help with those. I really like the variety that each kit has. The Pizza kit includes tomato, basil, oregano and bell pepeprs. The Taco kit includes jalapeno peppers, iceburg lettuce, tomato, cilantro. The Salsa garden includes lettuce, carrot, cucumber, tomato. The Ratatouille garden includes eggplant, tomato, bell pepper, zucchini. The Herb garden includes basil, oregano, parsley, cilantro. The stir fry garden includes broccoli, bok choy, carrot, sugar snap peas.
The kids are excited to watch their garden grow and they signed up online to be part of the interactive garden. I also know that I will not have any problem wth them eating from their garden as soon as it is ready.
About Growums
We feel that by providing children with a remarkable experience to grow their own garden – along with the help of fun characters who coach them in a virtual world they can enjoy online – the kids will be attentive and successful in their real-life gardening adventures. My kids have done it, and so have the kids in my neighborhood. I can tell you from experience: The joy on their faces and the fun they had digging in the dirt – then eating what they grew – was immeasurable!
It all starts with the Growums garden kit, containing everything a child needs to grow a real garden – whether it’s in the back yard or grown in containers on a patio or balcony. Each kit contains its own cast of “characters,” depending on what type of garden is being grown. Kids have six garden choices: Pizza, Taco, Ratatouille, Salad, Stir-Fry, and Herb.
As the real gardens grow, a new garden comes alive online: In the Growums virtual world, children get to actually meet and play with the characters they’re growing, including Tomas the tomato, Duke the Cuke, Belle Peppa and the Great Zucchini (and more)! These lovable online characters help children understand the growing process through a variety of fun gardening facts and games in the virtual world, meanwhile guiding kids along their true-life adventures in their real gardens.
Add a Little Character to Your Fundraiser!
How Growums Helps Your Cause
As a fundraiser, Growums is a wonderful opportunity for your organization. Each Growums garden kit is sold for $10. For every kit sold, your organization receives a generous portion. In addition, a portion will be donated to help feed needy children. A good goal for your group might be for each child to sell at least 15 kits.
This fresh approach to fundraising is really more than a fun and simple way to help your cause. It’s an amazing opportunity to encourage healthier children, a greener environment and stronger families – one character at a time.
